Headless WordPress

WordPress is excellent software for editors and a poor fit for modern front-end performance. Headless splits the two: content stays in WordPress with WPGraphQL, while Next.js renders fast, secure pages — no theme hacks, no plugin pile-ups.

Questions we get

Will our editors lose the WordPress admin?

No. They keep the same admin, media library and publishing flow. Only the public rendering moves to Next.js.

Do we need premium plugins?

Not for a standard build. WPGraphQL is free; we add a small custom plugin for structured content instead of buying ACF Pro.
